We want to let you know that we are vigilantly implementing enhanced protocols to help ensure your safety, as well as the flexibility of your rental bookings. The safety of our customers and staff is of paramount importance to us, and we are closely monitoring the news, information, advice and guidance from the World Health Organisation regarding the spread of the Coronavirus. Our focus is to ensure we meet customer needs while doing our part to keep you and our employees safe.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

From 17 January, 2022 on:

Should you need to cancel a prepaid booking that was made directly with us, we are waiving cancellation fees as long as the booking is cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the day your rental begins. 

If you have to cancel less than 48 hours before the day of your rental, you'll receive a full refund minus the lower of: i) 2 days of your booking or, ii) fixed fee of €65.

Before January 17, 2022:

We are waiving cancellation fees as long as the booking is cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the day your rental begins.


For "pay on collection" or "pay later" bookings, there will be no cancellation fees up until the time the rental is due to begin.Thus, it is safe to book with us.

This applies until further notice for short-term bookings for Avis and Budget. Terms and conditions for corporate and long-term bookings may differ.

Are all your rental stations in Finland open?

Yes, almost all our rental stations are open in the country and fully operational for online or walk-in reservations currently. If  the situation causes changes in your booking, you will be contacted by our customer service team to make suitable arrangements.

Please note that some of our service stations are working as Meet & Greet only. This means that our staff will be there only at the time of your rental. Please provide us with your exact pick-up time and let us know if it changes so that we can serve you as fluently as possible.

What additional precautions is Budget taking to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus?

We are closely monitoring the information shared by the World Health Organization concerning advice on how to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

To help protect our staff and customers we are encouraging regular hand washing, and the use of hand sanitizer, where available.  We’ve also enhanced the already robust cleaning techniques of our vehicles after each rental.  In particular, we are paying special attention to the places people touch such as steering wheels, door handles and other hard surfaces.

We advise all our customers to keep updated on the latest developments from the World Health Organisation and the UK’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
